At the Art Gallery of Paris has opened an exhibition on German Expressionism "Expressionismus & Expressionism. Der Blaue Reiter vs Brücke "Berlin - Munich 1905-1920 (October 13, 2011 to March 11, 2012).
Andrei Nakov is part of the scientific committee of the exhibition was responsible for the selection of works by Kandinsky, Larionov and Goncharova.
In the catalog of the exhibition is his study of "Prime abstract painting by Kandinsky" (circle with Table 1911) and a note on the "Table 209" (pages 44 to 63).
Entitled "Table with circle", the first abstract painting by Kandinsky included in the exhibition as well as the "Improvisation 34" (another important work of 1913), table, as we learned of the text, is closely related to this "first abstract painting" of 1911.
